Unit in secure Stellenbosch complex has student accommodation potential

A three-bedroomed apartment in a secure access-controlled Stellenbosch estate will be offered at a liquidation auction to be conducted by the Michael James Organisation this month.

The apartment is ideally located to serve as student accommodation in the view of the auction house’s Paula Voges, who says that Unit 2 of Cabernet, a sectional-title block, measures “a comfortable 85m².”

She adds that security estates are popular in the historic university town.

“The main bedroom of the unit on offer has an en-suite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom. In addition, the apartment has an open-plan kitchen/living area, a private balcony with pleasing views, and an allocated covered parking bay.”

The complex, which is situated at 6 Oude Libertas Street, Stellenbosch, is accessed by means of a remote-operated gate, she adds. “It also offers the advantage of being close to all amenities and the Oude Libertas Amphitheatre.”

The unit will auctioned on site at 11.15am on Saturday, 27 February, and may be viewed between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, 21 February.

The terms require that a 10 percent deposit be paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance on transfer. The purchaser must also pay VAT on the purchase price, and all outstanding levy and municipal accounts, if applicable.
